Zamahel ("messenger", in the language of the K'iché Maya people from Guatemala) is an illustrator, graphic designer (by formation, graduated at UTFPR - Technological Federal University of Paraná, in Curitiba, Brazil), animator and comic book artist currently based in São Paulo, Brazil.

Zamahel's work is well known for portraying in detail both historical and mythical aspects of a variety of indigenous cultures from the American continent, and his artistic pursuit is combined with a mission to make these cultures more well known

Zamahel has been working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer for over a decade, has created a comic book adaptation of traditional stories from the Nahua people of Central Mexico and is currently working on a personal project.

His work has been exhibited in NYC and São Paulo in 2022 and 2023.
